I pored sve veće krize i siromaštva koje zahvata Srbiju a samim tim i Sjenicu, služba za socijalni rad u Sjenici uspeva da isplaćuje i obezbeđuje pomoć svim njenim korisnicima, kojih je po rečima direktora Novaka Dumića, iz dana u dan sve više.
Izlaz iz ove, teške, situacije vidi se u oživljavanju sjeničke privrede za koju predviđanja govore da bi se mogla popravljati u narednoj godini.
